Medical Assistance Program Discussed in Artsakh

The Minister of Health of the Republic of Artsakh, Ararat Ohanyan, met on December 11 with former mayor of Lyon, France, and head of the "Mother-Child" program of the Merieux Foundation, Dr. Khalil Etouine.

Welcoming the guests, Ararat Ohanyan expressed gratitude to all international organizations and individuals for their support to the healthcare sector of Artsakh during wartime.

Georg Kepenekyan presented the goals of visiting certain hospitals in Artsakh and cataloging existing problems.

The Armenian doctor expressed readiness to organize a medical assistance program after returning to France, which will provide not only physical but also psychological support for patients.

During the meeting, issues related to the restoration of medical institutions affected by military actions, organizing rehabilitation for wounded soldiers, acquiring medical equipment, and retraining medical personnel were discussed.
