Russian Peacekeepers Clear Landmines Near Stepanakert Airport Using Uran-6
Russian peacekeeping forces continue their demining operations in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“Russian sappers have utilized the Uran-6 multifunctional robotic complex during the demining of one of the areas near Stepanakert Airport. Its use ensures the complete safety of personnel and increases the effectiveness of operations to clear the terrain of explosive objects. In a single day, engineering reconnaissance and demining operations were also conducted along the Stepanakert-Shushi road and in the Ajapnyak street area of Stepanakert. Overall, more than 80 hectares of land, 24.8 kilometers of roads, 168 buildings, and 6 socially significant facilities have been cleared by engineering units in Nagorno-Karabakh, with 4,577 explosive items detected and neutralized,” the statement said.
