These Statements Contradict the Spirit and Provisions of the November 9 Trilateral Declaration: Mane Gevorgyan on Aliyev's and Erdogan's Statements

The Press Secretary of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Mane Gevorgyan, has responded to the statements made today in Baku by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
In an interview with Armenpress, Gevorgyan stated: "We strongly condemn the provocative statements made by the Azerbaijani leader in Baku today. The raising of territorial claims against Armenia seriously calls into question Azerbaijan's willingness to establish peace and deliberately jeopardizes regional peace and security.
The Azerbaijani president's claims that Azerbaijan has resolved the Nagorno-Karabakh issue through military means again highlight who the initiator of war and the use of force is, and who is attempting to lead the region down a path of further destabilization and trial.
These statements make it more than ever relevant the international recognition of the right to self-determination of the Armenian population of Artsakh as a means to prevent new genocidal aspirations against them by Azerbaijan.
These statements contradict the spirit and provisions of the November 9 trilateral declaration. Speaking to the Armenian people from a position of threat is condemnable and cannot lead to lasting stability in the South Caucasus. Furthermore, it is also highly condemnable that the architects of the Armenian Genocide, the ideas of the Young Turks, are being glorified by the President of Turkey. Such manifestations cast doubt on Turkey's statements, including regarding willingness to contribute to establishing regional peace and stability."
During a military parade in Baku, Aliyev referred to Yerevan, Lake Sevan, and Zangezur as “Azerbaijani territories,” while Erdogan stated that this day is “the day to illuminate the souls of Enver Pasha, Nuri Pasha, and the soldiers of the Islamic Army of the Caucasus."
