Snowfall in Several Regions of Armenia, Black Ice Present on Some Roads

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are impassable roads across various regions of Armenia. The roads leading to the Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in Aragatsotn Province are difficult to navigate.

Black ice is present in places along the Vardenyats Pass (impassable for vehicles with trailers), in the Lori Province, as well as the Shirak Province's regions of Amasia, Ani, and Ashotsk, and on the Artik-Mantash-Maralik-Gyumri roads, and the Sisian-"Zanger" roads in Syunik Province.

Snowfall is occurring in Tavush, Lori, and Shirak Provinces, as well as in the Ararat Valley areas of Aparan and Aragatsotn, and in Kotayk Province's Charentsavan, Hrazdan, Abovyan, and in Gegharkunik Province's cities of Sevan, Vardenis, Chambarak, and Gavar. Fog is reported in the Aparan region of Aragatsotn Province.

Drivers are advised to use winter tires exclusively.

According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of North Ossetia of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles.

Information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia confirms that the decision to restrict the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in effect. The ban does not apply to freight transportation.
