Police Detain Man Selling Marijuana; He Has Been Arrested

The discovery of illegal drug trafficking often requires not only a clear plan of investigative measures but also collaboration between various units of the police. Thanks to such collaboration, law enforcement officials recently uncovered yet another case of illegal drug trafficking.

On December 1, officers from the Main Directorate for the Fight Against Drugs of the Criminal Police and the Shengavit Division detained six individuals suspected of illegal drug possession and usage from different streets in the capital. During personal searches, marijuana was found, along with a knife from one individual.

Further measures revealed that the detained individuals had obtained their drugs from a 55-year-old resident of Bagratuni Street. He was taken to the Shengavit Police Division, where a personal search revealed eight packages of marijuana.

A criminal case has been initiated, and the detained man has been arrested. An investigation is underway.
