General said: If I went, they would have shot me too, says father of missing soldier
Relatives of missing soldiers again held a protest in front of the military unit in Ejmiatsin. “Today we are waiting for representatives from the Ministry of Defense to come and convey the information revealed by Muradov regarding our issue. Two days ago, we went to the Ministry of Defense, and it was communicated that they would come and the search operation would begin. We stayed at the Ministry until 2 PM, and they told us not to come, that they would come to inform us about the information received from Muradov. Now we are waiting for them,” relatives told reporters.
“Dear people, do not give your children to those generals, to take them, to kill them, to hand them over to the Turks, while they run away. The lieutenant general says there are two groups, summons a shepherd, puts him with the other group, and he stays with this group. That lieutenant general says we learned that the boys are in an ambush for 3 hours, I say, ‘Mr. Lieutenant General, why didn’t you go?’ He says, ‘If I went, they would have shot me too, but who are you?’ An 18-year-old soldier goes, saves the lives of 11 people, and dies. Today I ask my grandson, whose father is missing, ‘What should I do?’ He says, ‘Grandpa, buy me an automatic rifle, so I can go and shoot the Turks with my dad,’ but the general says, ‘If I had gone, I would have been shot too, so why are you here?’” said the father of the missing soldier.
