Gagik Tsarukyan: Vazgen Manukyan Contributed to the Creation of an Independent State and Has the Experience to Lead the Country out of Crisis

Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia party, stated during a meeting with journalists that no political force can take on the responsibility of saving the homeland alone, as the situation is extremely difficult. He emphasized that all must unite to address these challenges, stating, "There is no you and me in this matter." This statement comes in light of the issues and necessary changes arising from the capitulation act signed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Tsarukyan assessed the creation of the ‘Homeland Salvation Movement’ as a correct step, arguing that only through unified efforts can issues related to the capitulation act and economic problems be resolved, regardless of party affiliation.

In response to Pashinyan’s assertion that Vazgen Manukyan, the proposed candidate for prime minister by the movement, lacks sufficient public support and parliamentary backing, Tsarukyan remarked, “I have given my consent to his candidacy. Vazgen Manukyan, who participated in the establishment of an independent state, has served as prime minister and defense minister, and has the experience to lead the country out of crisis.” He added that his decision not to run is a personal one, which he will discuss later if the opportunity arises.
