Five Agreements Signed Between Azerbaijan and Turkey During Erdoğan's Visit to Baku
During Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's visit to Baku, representatives of Azerbaijan and Turkey signed five agreements on expanding cooperation in various fields. According to TASS, this was reported by the press service of the President of Azerbaijan.
It was noted that Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu signed a protocol that outlines amendments to the intergovernmental agreement concerning the cancellation of the visa regime between the two countries. Later, Çavuşoğlu specified that the document allows visits using internal passports.
Additionally, the Turkish company BMC Otomativ has agreed to develop cooperation with Azerbaijani transportation agencies. The Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises of Azerbaijan and the investment office attached to the President of Turkey signed a memorandum of understanding. Baku and Ankara also reached an agreement on strategic partnership in the media sector.
Erdoğan is in Baku for a two-day visit.
