29 Protesters Detained Outside Government Building
The police have detained 29 protesters outside the government building for failing to comply with the legal demands of a police officer, who were demonstrating for the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This information was reported to the media by the Public Relations and Information Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
It should be noted that opposition political forces had given Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his government a deadline to resign by December 8 at 12:00 PM. The condition was that if he did not resign, protests and acts of civil disobedience would commence across the republic.
On December 9, a protest was held outside the parliament coinciding with a Q&A session between the parliament and the government, during which it was decided that today, at 11:00 AM, protesters would gather outside the government building.
