Tatevik Hayrapetyan: No Authority in Armenia Has Ever Avoided Discussing Compromise Solutions
Member of the National Assembly from the "My Step" faction, Tatevik Hayrapetyan, made several statements regarding the war and the issue of Artsakh during a parliamentary session.
"No authority in Armenia has ever avoided discussing or striving for a compromise solution to the problem. When we look for culprits among ourselves, of course, each of us bears some share of blame in the current situation, including myself. I can say clearly that Baku has never sought peace but has spoken the language of threats and enmity for years. They have had territorial ambitions not only towards Artsakh but also towards the state borders of the Republic of Armenia, even up to the capital, Yerevan. This has never been a territorial dispute; it is a policy conducted by Azerbaijan within the framework of a genocidal strategy," stated Hayrapetyan.
According to the MP, in the context of the complicated situation in the region and the disproportionate distribution of power, we have indeed faced failures and found ourselves in difficult circumstances. As a people, we are currently going through quite a challenging test.
"The message we convey during this period and the actions we take will determine whether we will achieve success in the future or continue to 'suffer' in our failures. We have not been exterminated; we have not disappeared; we exist and live thanks to the exceptional dedication of our fallen and living heroes," emphasized the parliamentarian.
