Motion Filed to Summon Prime Minister's Spokesperson Mane Gevorgyan for Questioning, Lawyer Says
Today, I have filed a motion to summon the spokesperson of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Mane Gevorgyan, for questioning. This was announced by lawyer Alexander Kochubayev on his Facebook page.
“The issue arose in relation to the mass unrest that occurred in Yerevan on the night of land sales. In this case, the National Security Service of Armenia seized recordings from government cameras, but someone from the NSS transferred them to Mane Gevorgyan, who subsequently published the footage. In other words, Mane Gevorgyan has obtained the seized audio-visual recordings through ‘unclear’ means and has disclosed investigative secrets. These facts are extremely important for the defense, and we are determined to clarify these circumstances and prevent any direction of the criminal case from the government house,” he wrote.
“I will also address the issue regarding victim Nikol Pashinyan discussing his case with the Prosecutor General of Armenia, members of the Supreme Judicial Council, and heads of certain courts. There is still much to uncover…”
