It Is Very Effective and Reliable: Peskov Talks About the Russian Vaccine Against COVID-19

The results of clinical trials for the Russian vaccine against the coronavirus demonstrate its effectiveness and reliability. Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary for the President of Russia, made this statement against the backdrop of Turkey's refusal to purchase the 'Sputnik V' vaccine, according to RIA Novosti.

“It can be said unequivocally: the trial results indicate that this is a very effective and reliable vaccine that will undoubtedly play a significant role in the fight against the pandemic,” Peskov said when responding to questions about the effectiveness of the Russian vaccine.

It is worth noting that Turkey's Health Minister Fahrettin Koca had previously announced that the Russian vaccine does not comply with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), which is why the country has refused to acquire it. Meanwhile, the Russian Direct Investment Fund has stated that negotiations with Ankara regarding the supply of the vaccine are ongoing.
