Criminal Case Initiated for Alleged Abuse of Children at 'Our Yard' Kindergarten

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the alleged infliction of mental suffering and causing severe physical pain to children at the 'Our Yard' kindergarten in Yerevan. Employees of the kindergarten reportedly physically assaulted the children, prompting an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Yerevan Investigative Division under the National Investigative Committee of Armenia. The case has been opened under Article 119, parts 1 and 3 of the Armenian Criminal Code, relating to the infliction of severe physical pain or mental anguish.

The spokesperson for the Investigative Committee, Rima Yeghanyan, provided this information to Tert.am. It is noteworthy that recently an audio recording was released, in which kindergarten staff could be heard beating children and threatening them.
