Armenian Committees Organize Visits to Artsakh for Friends and Journalists
The Bureau of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) has issued a statement emphasizing the ongoing efforts of its committees to promote the interests of Armenia and Artsakh.
In the weeks following the outbreak of war on September 27, the ARF's offices and committees worldwide intensified their lobbying efforts and organized activities to present objective information concerning the situation. These efforts are marked as a significant milestone in the 75-year history of the Armenian Cause's committees and offices, resulting in substantial international support for Artsakh and Armenia.
With satisfaction, the ARF recognizes the dedication of its committees and offices in mobilizing to protect the homeland’s interests during difficult times. The recent declaration signed by the leaders of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan on the night of November 9-10 has created a new situation regarding Armenia’s fortunes on the international stage, necessitating a reassessment of previous political strategies and initiatives.
Despite these challenges, the ARF retains its strategic objectives and future vision, which remain unchanged. They condemn the actions leading to the signing of what they describe as a disgraceful document by the Armenian Prime Minister, viewing it as a catastrophe for the people and the state.
The ARF commits to continuing its global advocacy for the rights of the Armenian people and to thoroughly discussing the current regional and international political situations, as well as domestic processes in various states.
In the recent period following November 10, the committees and offices have maintained active operations, highlighted by the adoption of resolutions in the French Senate and National Assembly emphasizing the necessity of recognizing Artsakh's independence, as well as resolutions by Belgium’s Federal Parliament condemning Azerbaijani aggression against Artsakh.
Efforts to expand the circle of friends of Artsakh continue, yielding positive results in countries like Greece and Cyprus. The situation surrounding Artsakh remains a topic of discussion in numerous parliaments worldwide, particularly in the House of Commons in the United Kingdom and the Senate in Canada.
The committees are also involved in organizing visits for foreign delegations, friends of our people, and journalists to Artsakh, enabling them to directly assess the situation and present it to the international community. Notably, from December 2-6, members of the Belgium Francophone Friendship Group with Artsakh visited Armenia and Artsakh, meeting with various officials and conducting fact-finding missions.
Work aimed at the decentralized recognition of Artsakh's independence continues, with the ARF planning to resume periodic and detailed publications regarding the outcomes of its committees and offices, providing centralized information to the public, journalism community, and professional circles according to regional and diaspora communities.
