Recognizing Our Heroes: Artsakh Defense Army Publishes Names of Modern Day Heroes

The Artsakh Defense Army has published the names of new heroes along with stories of their valor.

“Sergeant, Lieutenant Aleksan Harutyun Saghatelyan has destroyed 3 enemy tanks and other equipment, as well as inflicted casualties with 120mm mortar fire. Private Armen Vardani Galoyan halted an enemy assault at a combat position and evacuated the wounded from the neutral zone. Senior Lieutenant Mikael Shaheni Mikaelyan has destroyed 6 enemy tanks and 4 command observation posts. In battles in the southern direction, Captain Nerses Vachiki Nersisyan, Captain Rafael Ashoti Ghazaryan, Lieutenant Seryozha Garibi Tadevosyan, and Sergeant Edgar Valeriki Harutyunyan effectively led their units and eliminated enemy personnel.

Medic, Junior Sergeant Gurgen Beniki Grigoryan displayed courage by evacuating casualties under enemy fire. Captain Harut Hambardzum Davtyan and Junior Sergeant Karen Armen Babayan stood out for their bravery and effective actions. Near the Shikher outskirts, Sergeant Khoren Noriki Asatryan distinguished himself with personal valor and inflicted losses on the enemy. Reserve Sergeant Aram Hovhannes Margaryan repelled enemy assaults five times despite being outnumbered.

Captain Anush Lazari Mikaelyan provided first aid to numerous wounded under enemy shelling and evacuated them. Glory to our heroes!” the Defense Army's statement read.
