Human Rights Defender Presents Evidence of Azerbaijani Atrocities to Head of Danish Delegation in PACE

On December 7, Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan received Lars Aslan Rasmussen, head of the Danish delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). During the meeting, they discussed gross violations of human rights committed by the Azerbaijani armed forces during the war, including atrocities against both military personnel and civilians.

"For years, hatred and anti-Armenian sentiments in Azerbaijan have only been encouraged, while those who carry them out have been awarded state honors. This atmosphere has led to inhumane atrocities and barbarities against ethnic Armenians by the Azerbaijani armed forces in Artsakh," Tatoyan concluded.

Tatoyan informed the head of the Danish delegation that Azerbaijani authorities are artificially delaying the processes of returning Armenian captives and exchanging the bodies of the deceased, both during and after the hostilities.

He presented evidence of Azerbaijani atrocities against ethnic Armenians to Lars Aslan Rasmussen and emphasized that the release of captives and ensuring their safe return, along with the exchange of bodies, is an urgent issue demanding immediate resolution. The meeting also addressed other issues related to the protection of human rights.
