The Artsakh Information Headquarters has presented the results of monitoring product prices in commercial establishments operating in Stepanakert as of December 7.

According to specialists from the Economic Competition Division of the State Commission for Regulating Public Services and Economic Competition, as of December 7, 2020, an analysis conducted in 20 commercial establishments in Stepanakert revealed changes in the average prices of 13 product types compared to the previous monitoring, with 11 showing price increases and 2 showing price decreases.

Specifically, an average price increase was observed for:

  • Oil (1 liter) - 109 drams (15%)
  • Tomatoes (1 kg) - 50 drams (6.7%)
  • Cucumbers (1 kg) - 50 drams (6.7%)
  • Sugar (1 kg) - 7 drams (1.9%)
  • Tea (100 grams) - 20 drams (2.8%)
  • Gasoline Regular (1 liter) - 10 drams (2.8%)
  • Flour Baghramyan (1 kg) - 6 drams (1.9%)
  • Rice (1 kg) - 6 drams (1.4%)
  • Lentils (1 kg) - 11 drams (2%)
  • Eggs (1 piece) - 1 dram (1.4%)
  • Coffee (100 grams) - 20 drams (2.8%)

Meanwhile, an average price decrease was noted for bread (500 grams) - 2 drams (1%) and onions (1 kg) - 50 drams (20%).

The dominant operators in the markets that recorded price changes are present in the oil and gasoline markets, and the Commission is conducting a study to clarify the justifications for their pricing policies.
