Over 300 of Our Youth Are Still in the Forests: Aram Sargsyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attempted to mislead our people by stating that no other decision could be made at that moment. This was mentioned today, December 7, during parliamentary hearings on the draft statement initiated by the 'Enlightened Armenia' party concerning a plan of action to exit the current situation by the leader of the Democratic Party of Armenia, Aram G. Sargsyan, as reported by news.am.

“Of course, at that moment, when he had brought us to the brink, there could be no other decision. He didn’t decide it himself; it was decided by Vladimir Putin. In other words, we had a puppet, who now wishes to continue ruling. All those who had even a slight political instinct should have understood, after hearing the statements of Sergey Naryshkin and others from October 10, that there were militants and jihadists in the area, and this was said to find an excuse to intervene and to stop those actions. There was no response from here. After that, Lavrov was forced to openly declare that there were more than 2000 militants there. This means that Armenia is obliged to respond, to appeal to them. It was specifically stated to government members to appeal to Putin to immediately intervene. On the contrary, they appealed based on the 1997 agreement, in which there was no issue regarding Nagorno-Karabakh. This means they showed that they had responded, but took no concrete action. This indicates that it was either done deliberately or all the steps that lead to this situation were already planned. This is indeed a sign of conspiracy that needs to be clarified,” he said.

Aram G. Sargsyan added that Nikol Pashinyan did not negotiate anything, nor did he try to change any punctuation in signing this agreement: “He allowed for communication to be established via Meghri. The Turks have been dreaming for 100 years to have a corridor through which to implement their great Turan idea. Now they have achieved that. We are obliged to prevent these dangerous developments. Third, my time does not allow me to present the case of a person named Alexander Radov, who went to Karabakh and through his acquaintances confirmed that today over 300 of our youth are still in the forests. They are trying to get out, but no one can help them because we have an incapable, impotent government. Under these conditions, he should have defended the lives of our youth,” he stated, addressing the current authorities, saying: “You came from the street; go back to the street and try to return to power again.”
