Gunshots Heard in Yerevan, One Person Injured

Gunshots were heard today in Yerevan. In response to a question from Tert.am, Edgar Janoyan, the deputy head of the police press service, stated that at 16:57, the police received a report of gunfire near the V. Sargsyan Military Institute on Shopron Street. He noted that shortly after, another report was received.

“The second report came from the hospital, informing that one person had been taken to a medical facility with a gunshot wound,” said Edgar Janoyan. He added that operational investigative groups have been dispatched to the scene, where shell casings were discovered. Janoyan announced that the circumstances are being clarified and an investigation is underway.
