Events Held in Ukraine in Commemoration of Spitak Earthquake Victims

In all Armenian churches and chapels in Ukraine, services have been held in memory of the victims of the Spitak earthquake. According to AnalitikaUA.net, the prayer in Kyiv was led by Bishop Markos Hovhannisyan, the head of the Armenian Apostolic Church's Diocese in Ukraine. The memorial service was attended by Tigran Seyranyan, the Armenian ambassador to Ukraine, as well as representatives from the Armenian Union in Ukraine and the Armenian community in Kyiv.
The publication notes that Armenian communities in many regions of the country organize various events every year to commemorate the victims of the Spitak earthquake.
