Grenades with Explosives and Bullets from Artsakh Discovered in Goris
Officers from the Patrol Service and the Goris Protection Division of the Police conducted an inspection of a tow truck driven by a 26-year-old resident of Yerevan, along with an unmarked Suzuki vehicle located at a stationary checkpoint in the city of Goris.
During the inspection, grenades of the "F-1" type equipped with explosives and 60 bullets of 7.62 mm caliber were found inside the vehicle's cabin. The tow truck has been moved to a secure area under the protection of the Goris Police.
The munitions, which according to preliminary data were brought from Artsakh, have been confiscated. A forensic examination has been commissioned.
The police again urge individuals in possession of illegal weapons and munitions to voluntarily surrender them to avoid criminal liability.
