Mané Gevorgyan, the spokesperson for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, stated yesterday and today that the children will continue their service following the same procedures as before, as conscripts sent to Artsakh. This was said by the mother of a conscript serving in Artsakh during a conversation with journalists near the government.

“She said that steps are being taken to address their medical examinations and nutrition. We requested that an authorized representative from the Ministry of Defense be present; after all, there are military issues, and we cannot demand everything from Mané. Mané promised us that she would ask the Ministry of Defense for someone to meet with us. My concern is also related to the fact that my child should not participate in the collection of corpses; she assured me that the soldiers are exempt from that. We were promised that an official from the Ministry of Defense would provide us with clear answers regarding what is to be done, and if she guarantees the safety of our children, they can stay,” said the mother of the service member.

According to her, Pashinyan’s spokesperson also referred to the 4th point of the trilateral statement signed on November 10, according to which the Armenian Armed Forces must withdraw from the territories that have been surrendered. “Mané Gevorgyan explained to us that the soldiers from the regions included in the 4th point are to be recalled. For example, if my son is serving in Martakert, he remains and continues his service,” she noted.

Regarding the vacation of the servicemen, she stated that Gevorgyan said they plan to organize this in the coming days.
