This is a Special Mission: Yury Djorkaeff

The second French humanitarian aid plane has arrived in Yerevan. The delegation includes representatives from the government, international humanitarian organizations, private entities, and members of the French-Armenian community, including the goodwill ambassador for Armenia, Yury Djorkaeff, and the leadership of the Aznavour Foundation. The famous French-Armenian football player, who was a champion of the 1998 World Cup, expressed his support and condolences to Armenian families who have lost a child, brother, relative, or friend.

Yury Djorkaeff noted that France and the French diaspora have united during these days, and this is a special mission led by French President Emmanuel Macron and the Secretary of State and crisis center. The goodwill ambassador for Armenia considers having the French ambassador here as a trump card. In a meeting with journalists, he also mentioned that since the very first day of the conflict, they were thinking about how they could intervene. Once the ceasefire was established, they decided to mobilize state structures, NGOs, associations, and foundations to support Armenia in responding to the situation as quickly as possible.
