Humanitarian Aid from France to be Distributed to Medical Institutions

Health Minister Arsen Torosyan attended the reception ceremony for humanitarian aid that arrived in Armenia from France. According to the press service of the ministry, the event was also attended by French Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, France's Ambassador to Armenia Jonathan Lacôte, director of the Aznavour Foundation Kristina Aznavour, and goodwill ambassador Yuri Djorkaeff, among other guests.

The humanitarian aid will be distributed to medical facilities operating in Armenia. "First of all, I would like to thank Jonathan Lacôte because we have always been in close cooperation with him, starting from the fight against the coronavirus, when doctors from France came to support Armenian colleagues and exchange experiences," said Minister Torosyan.

He emphasized that the Armenian people greatly appreciate any support provided by France. He also spoke about the long-standing friendship between the two countries.

It should be noted that this is the second aircraft delivering humanitarian aid from France to Armenia. It is intended to support the Armenian population affected by the Artsakh-Azerbaijani conflict.
