Hasmik Charents, Granddaughter of Yeghishe Charents, Passes Away

On November 26, Hasmik Charents, the granddaughter of renowned Armenian poet Yeghishe Charents, passed away at the age of 64 in the Netherlands. The news of her death was reported by the cultural heritage platform 'Magaghat.'

Born in 1956, Hasmik Charents graduated from the directing department of Yerevan's State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography. She worked at the same institute for many years and later at Yerevan's H. Paronyan State Musical Comedy Theatre.

She was the author of numerous poems, song lyrics, articles, and musicals. Hasmik Charents had been living and creating in the Netherlands.
