Today I was supposed to go to work, but they didn’t let me, the Turks were already standing there. This was stated by Ashot Grigoryan, a resident of Vardenis and an employee of the Sotk mine, as he described the problems arising from the enemy approaching the Sotk mine.

The resident recounted that another employee was not allowed to go up to the mine, one of the enemy soldiers told him to come down. “The Turks were our servants in Vardenis, today the Turk has come and is giving us orders, doesn’t let us work,” he said, adding that it will be impossible to work here in the future.

According to him, this should have been considered sooner. “Karvachar was under the control of Armenians, why did we give it away? Wherever the Turk steps in, he shells, and why did our soldiers number only 7, I don’t know. Now the Turk is standing there, talking freely, who is our master?”

The resident stated that if the mine is not operational and the situation does not get resolved, then their existence is meaningless. As for the solution to the problem, according to him, it is to free Karvachar and return to a normal life.
