Military Addressing Issues of Mercenaries' Families, Says Zakharova
During a press briefing, Russian Foreign Ministry representative Maria Zakharova addressed the issue of transporting families of mercenaries from Syria to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. She also commented on Turkish President Erdogan's statement that Turkey has made significant contributions to the agreements reached and that Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Russia will become guarantors of peace in the region.
Regarding the families of mercenaries, Zakharova stated that the military is currently handling this issue and could not disclose further details. "The military is working with the conflicting parties and experts who have the capability or data to resolve this issue. It is true that my formulation is complex, but it proves that the matter is under the constant attention of our military," said the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson.
Touching upon Turkey's role, Zakharova recalled Vladimir Putin's interview in which the Russian president noted that in some matters, the positions of Moscow and Ankara are at opposing poles, but the Kremlin is constantly seeking points of contact through which it can contribute not only to bilateral but also to regional issue resolutions.
