Derby City Council in the UK Decides to Recognize the Independence of Artsakh

The City Council of Derby, UK, has unanimously decided to officially recognize the independence of the Republic of Artsakh. This information was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh.

The resolution specifically states that the actions of Azerbaijan underline the existential threat to the people of Artsakh and emphasizes the need for the international community to take active measures to neutralize this threat, including the recognition of the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination and their right to live freely in their historic homeland.

The City Council has also called on the government of the United Kingdom to recognize the independence of the Republic of Artsakh.
