Covid Safety Regulations Poorly Implemented in Regions, Says Health Inspectorate

During inspection visits to hospitals, dental clinics, salons, and retail points in the cities of Garni, Abovyan, and Hrazdan in the Kotayk and Gegharkunik regions, specialists from the Eastern Territorial Center of the Health and Labor Inspection Body (HLIB) observed concerning violations.

Inspectors noted that there were violations in medical institutions related to the safe handling of hazardous waste and sterilization processes. The inspection body’s specialists have issued orders for the rapid rectification of these violations.

Among other businesses, persistent issues remain the same, including deficiencies in disinfection efforts, the presence of disinfectants in incorrect dosages, a failure to measure temperatures twice daily, and inadequate or absent record-keeping.

As for mask-wearing, the inspectors have seen positive dynamics, noting an increasing trend of correct and more frequent mask use.

The Health and Labor Inspection Body continues to monitor compliance with the Covid safety regulations established by the Minister of Health through Order 17-N across the republic.
