81-Year-Old Woman Dies from Injuries Sustained from Son's Actions: Shengavit Police Investigation

On November 13, an ambulance responded to a call at 2nd Building, 9th Street of Nerk'in Shengavit. The emergency medical team confirmed that the 81-year-old woman was deceased and reported the information to the Shengavit police department.

Operational investigative groups and forensic specialists also arrived at the scene. An external examination of the body revealed bruises. According to the forensic expert, the woman died as a result of bodily injuries.

A criminal case was initiated in the territorial investigation department, within the framework of which Shengavit detectives undertook various operational measures. After 10 days of diligent work, law enforcement officials gathered factual data indicating that the elderly woman had sustained her injuries from her son.

On November 23, a 43-year-old man was taken to the Shengavit police department, presented to the preliminary investigation body, and arrested. He has been charged, and the preventive measure chosen is detention. The preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
