What New Support Programs Are Expected for Artsakh Residents
During today’s cabinet meeting, Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mesrop Arakelyan responded to Prime Minister's inquiry regarding the content of the support programs for Artsakh residents. “At this moment, we have two approved measures aimed at supporting the people of Artsakh. The first program is directed towards citizens registered in Artsakh, where each citizen will receive a social support of 68,000 drams. Currently, approximately 30,000 citizens have submitted approved applications, and from today onwards, payments will be made at ‘Haypost’ and ‘Artsakhpost’ branches. To ensure compliance with pandemic prevention measures, we have started disbursing payments in small groups as of today. On the first day, about 3,000 citizens will receive payments, and depending on the flow of these queues, we may provide support to a larger number of citizens each day. The flow of applications continues, and according to our estimates, up to 94,000 citizens may benefit from this program,” stated Mesrop Arakelyan.
