A Pedestrian Overpass, Park, Amphitheater, and Fountains to Be Built on Komitas Avenue

The government approved an investment program worth $10 million, which plans to construct a pedestrian overpass, park, amphitheater, and fountain-pools on Komitas Avenue.

Surik Papikyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, stated that the investment program was presented by 'Hayk 88' LLC, which has requested land plots for development rights from the government. 'Hayk 88' LLC is the owner of a building with an area of 2774 square meters at Komitas Avenue 49/9 and is leasing the land it occupies, which is 2016 square meters.

The project envisions the dismantling of the building owned by the company, the resolution of the company's leasing rights over the land, and the establishment of development rights for the land plots at Komitas Avenue 49/9 and 49/10,' said Minister Surik Papikyan, as reported by Armenpress.

According to him, after the implementation of the project, a pedestrian overpass will be constructed by the company for the residents of Yerevan, connecting the Arabkir Children's Park with the new park to be built at Komitas Avenue 49/9 and 49/10.

The planned investments will total $10 million, with approximately $1 million allocated for the improvement and reconstruction of the park, which will go towards the construction of the amphitheater, fountains, drip irrigation systems, lighting, and other works.

'I would also like to mention that the area is currently in a dilapidated state and requires investment,' added Surik Papikyan.
