Vaccines Will Not Halt the Spread of Coronavirus, WHO

Vaccines will not completely stop the spread of the coronavirus, but they provide great hope in the fight against this virus. This was stated during a press briefing by Hans Kluge, the Director of the WHO Regional Office for Europe, as reported by RIA Novosti.

"Technological and pharmaceutical advancements are opening new horizons for us. Although vaccines will not completely halt the spread of the coronavirus and will not answer all our questions, they nonetheless provide great hope in the war against this virus," Kluge said.

According to him, there has been good news regarding vaccines in recent weeks. "During such times, I remember the immense wealth of scientific and technological experience and knowledge we have in our European region of 53 countries. However, this potential will not be realized unless we ensure equal access to vaccine markets in all countries and unless vaccines are made available," he added.
