French Senate Resolution Calls for Withdrawal of Azerbaijani Troops from Occupied Territories Since September 27

Minutes ago, the Senate of the French Republic made a historic decision by adopting a resolution on the necessity of recognizing the Republic of Artsakh, presented by five political factions of the Senate.

The resolution includes several key points, among them: it proposes that the government recognize the Republic of Artsakh, condemns the aggression carried out by Azerbaijan with the support of Turkey and foreign mercenaries, and demands the withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops from the territories occupied since the outbreak of hostilities on September 27.

Additionally, it calls on the government to exert all possible efforts to resume negotiations under the auspices of the Minsk Group, ensuring the restoration of the borders established in 1994, the security of the Armenian population, the return of displaced persons, and the protection of Armenian cultural and religious heritage.

The resolution also references the impossibility of living for the Armenian population in Azerbaijan, citing the Armenian massacres in Sumgait, Ganja (Kirovabad), Baku, and Maragha, and referencing reports by the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) and the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) regarding Azerbaijan.

This was noted by Edmond Marukyan, the leader of the LHK, on his Facebook page.
