No Decision Yet on Surrendering Charektar Village, Says Mayor

The decision regarding the potential surrender of Charektar village in Artsakh has not yet been made, with a final resolution expected tomorrow. This was stated by the village mayor Kamo Tsakanian in an interview with NEWS.am.

“All the villagers have left; some have taken their belongings, while others remain. A final decision regarding the village will be made tomorrow,” he said.

It is noteworthy that Charektar village is located in the Shahumyan region, but was previously part of the Martakert district. The village is home to 48 families, totaling 270 residents.
