Discussions on Recognition of Artsakh to Begin in French Senate

The French Senate will discuss a resolution on the necessity of recognizing the Republic of Artsakh on November 25. According to information from the official Senate website, the discussions will start at 19:30 Yerevan time. The resolution was introduced by senators Bruno Retailleau, Patrick Manna, Hervé Marseille, Alain Aghazarian, and Guillaume Gontard.

Bruno Retailleau, the head of the 'Republicans' faction in the upper house of the French Parliament, reported on the senators' readiness to discuss the draft resolution concerning Artsakh. He stated on his Twitter page: 'On November 25, the Senate will discuss the draft resolution proposing France to recognize the Republic of Artsakh. Only such recognition can long-term protect the rights and freedoms of the residents of Artsakh, who have faced Turkish Islamic expansionism.'
