We Must Forge Our Next Victory After Overcoming This Crisis: Kocharyan Addresses Parents of Missing Soldiers Outside Defense Ministry
Today, parents of soldiers missing due to the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh are holding a protest in front of the Ministry of Defense. My Step faction member Andranik Kocharyan stated in a conversation with the citizens that answers regarding the actions taken and to be taken will be provided to the relatives at 16:30.
“A new minister has arrived. These issues have been discussed with the Russian leadership; we have urgent options to address these issues, but we also face unimaginable obstacles. The enemy is audacious. It has not been like this for 30 years. Now they are brazen, but it’s okay, we must forge our next victory after overcoming this crisis. We will do this,” said Kocharyan.
In response to a question about whether parents could participate in the search efforts, Kocharyan stated that it was not appropriate as it was a ‘jungle.’ “Shall we lose parents as well? Those who have the authority should handle this—the Red Cross, Russian units, our units, humanitarian international organizations. It’s a complex issue; we will solve it,” he added.
To one parent’s question regarding the accuracy of information that some soldiers have crossed into Iran’s borders and that there are supposedly 200 captives, Kocharyan responded: “Not captives… There is very reliable information regarding the surviving children. The issue of rescuing them is not a matter for discussion here. Let’s not discuss this; God willing, let’s save at least one life,” he said.
