The Barren Lands of Varagavan Village are Now Irrigable
The Tavush Regional Administration of Armenia reports that the barren lands of Varagavan Village are now irrigable, allowing for the establishment of new orchards and the potential for harvests and income from 30 hectares of previously arid land.
“With the funding from the Hovnanian Foundation, Varagavan Village now has a 1.4 km water pipeline and an irrigation system. The 30 hectares of arid land are already irrigable, and the irrigation capabilities for another 50 hectares have been improved. Additionally, the land basin has been renovated, creating the potential for water accumulation for further irrigation,” states the announcement.
