The Bright Future We Lost Through Young Warriors Will Not Break Us, But Unite Us: Levon Aronian
Levon Aronian, Armenia's leading grandmaster and FIDE World Cup winner, made a post on his Facebook page reflecting on our fallen brave soldiers.
“Dear compatriots, today we remember our fallen heroes who selflessly fought to protect Artsakh and Armenia. Over the past 55 days, we have experienced one of the most tragic moments in our history. No words can describe the sorrow in our hearts.
We must prove to ourselves that the bright future we lost through the young warriors will not break us but will unite us. Our suffering will turn into hope, and we will rise again. We have learned that we have no choice but to be ready to fight.
Nzhedev and Andranik fought because they were certain that the pan-Turkic ideology would not rest and would use all means of terrorism to rid themselves of us. Let us be stronger than ever, and as my grandfather used to say, it’s just a cloud, it will pass, and we will see the sun again.
Glory to our heroes, may peace descend upon their souls,” Aronian wrote.
