SpaceX Launches New Generation Satellite into Space

The American company SpaceX conducted a Falcon 9 rocket launch yesterday, carrying the new generation Sentinel-6 meteorological satellite. This satellite is designed to monitor changes in the global ocean level.

The rocket was launched from the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. According to TASS, SpaceX specialists managed to return the first stage of the rocket to Earth. It landed near the launch site just 8 minutes after the launch.

The reusable rocket stages allow Elon Musk's company to reduce costs associated with launching equipment into orbit.
