November 22: Day of Remembrance for the Fallen Heroes

His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, along with the President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, recently issued a call to declare November 22 as a Day of Remembrance for the heroes who fell defending the homeland in the Artsakh war. It was decided that a memorial service will be held in all Armenian churches on that day.

The memorial service at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, presided over by the Catholicos of All Armenians, will take place after the Divine Liturgy at 13:30 at the open altar of St. Tirdad.

It is noteworthy that the Defense Army has announced the names of 1,673 servicemen who fell in battles for the defense of the homeland.
