According to the agreement between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the visit of the Russian interdepartmental delegation to Yerevan covers the entire spectrum of relations between our two countries. The delegation includes two Russian deputy prime ministers, Novak and Overchuk, the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, the head of Russian Railways, and a representative of the Ministry of Finance.

At the same time, meetings were held with the leadership of Armenia, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, and Russian Emergency Situations Minister Evgeny Zinin. This was reported by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during a press briefing in Yerevan.

We primarily focused on ensuring the clear and complete implementation of the joint statement by the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan on November 9, concerning the cessation of military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh and the issues related to the conduct of peacekeeping operations to assist the civilian population.

Everyone recognized this statement as the only viable path for resolving the situation, which had escalated more than a few weeks earlier. It was clearly emphasized that attempts to cast doubt on this statement, both domestically and abroad, are unacceptable. We have confirmed our determination to do everything to ensure that this statement continues to work.

We also met with the President of Armenia. Both the President and the Prime Minister of Armenia emphasized that this statement has helped resolve serious issues and has helped save lives. They will contribute to ensuring that this agreement is implemented moving forward. They praised the work of Russian peacekeepers and the decree by the President of Russia to create an interdepartmental center for humanitarian response, which is already starting its activities.
