Snow Falling in Aragats Region, Hrazdan, Charentsavan, Artik, Spitak, and Vanadzor Cities

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported that the roads in the Republic of Armenia are passable. However, there is black ice on the road to the village of Jajur in Shirak Province.

Snow is falling in the Aragats region of Aragatsotn Province, as well as in Hrazdan and Charentsavan in Kotayk Province, and in Artik of Shirak Province and Spitak and Vanadzor in Lori Province. There is also fog in the Spitak mountain passes.

Regarding Lars, according to information from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Emergency Situations Department and the Crisis Management Center of Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, due to the emergency situation, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open only for freight transport.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the decision to prohibit the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in effect. The ban does not apply to freight transportation.
