Human Rights Defender Holds Private Talks with Individuals Detained and Arrested During Civil Protests
Currently, Armenia's Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan is conducting private talks with individuals detained and arrested during civil protests that took place on November 20. These discussions are occurring at the detention facility of the Yerevan police department. This information has been reported by the Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia.
Earlier, the leader of the NGO "Legal Path," human rights activist Ruben Melikyan, made a post on his Facebook page regarding the arrests that took place during a peaceful civil disobedience action demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. He noted, "About 20 public figures have been arrested for 72 hours for organizing and holding a rally demanding the removal of the supreme chief traitor. Approximately 200 individuals were detained and released after a few hours. The crisis of dignity continues."
