Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan has sent a condolence message regarding the passing of Rita Sargsyan, the wife of the third president of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan.

“I received with deep sorrow the news of the untimely death of Rita Alexandrovna Sargsyan, the wife of the third president of Armenia and a daughter of Artsakh. Rita Sargsyan was deeply loved and respected in her native Artsakh. Under her patronage and active support, important strategic projects have been implemented in various sectors of our republic's life.

Within the framework of the ‘Aragil’ reproductive medicine support foundation’s program, hundreds of children have been born, bringing anticipated light into their families. She passionately implemented a variety of cultural programs, making an invaluable contribution to the development of culture in Artsakh. On behalf of the people of Artsakh, the authorities, and personally, I extend my condolences and support to Rita Sargsyan’s family members, relatives, and close friends. Her bright name will remain in our hearts.”
