Lavrov Announces Attempts to Halt Implementation of Signed Statement on Nagorno-Karabakh
Russia observes attempts to halt the implementation of the statement signed on November 9 by the Presidents of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan regarding Nagorno-Karabakh. According to Armenpress, referencing TASS, this was stated by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Unfortunately, there is an intention. We feel that there are efforts to disrupt the implementation of the statement signed by the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan on November 9, trying to prevent that declaration from being fully realized, although everyone has to acknowledge that it is being implemented successfully. We also see attempts to change the nature of the peacekeeping mission; they are still covert, but they are happening,” said Lavrov.
