Video: Press Your Colleagues' Buttons - Lena Nazaryan at the National Assembly
The session of the National Assembly began today with a noteworthy incident during Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's meeting. Initially, the broadcast on the parliament's YouTube channel was titled 'Extraordinary Session', but the title was later changed to 'Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan Meets with MPs at the National Assembly', reports news.am.
At the start of the session, Deputy Speakers Lena Nazaryan and Alen Simonyan were persistently trying to secure a quorum. After two unsuccessful attempts, Lena Nazaryan, thinking her voice was not being heard, switched off her microphone and quietly signaled to the MPs, saying, 'Press your colleagues' buttons.'
After that, Alen Simonyan announced that there were technical issues, and the MPs registered again. Throughout the process, Lena Nazaryan continued to gesture to the MPs about which buttons to press. After the MPs registered, the question-and-answer session with the Prime Minister began.
