Video: White Phosphorus Has Suffocating Effects After Combustion

Azerbaijan is using banned weapons containing white phosphorus. The Ministry of Environment and 50 NGOs have appealed to international organizations.

“White phosphorus can cause burns of about 1300 degrees after self-ignition, during which dense smoke is produced that has a suffocating effect,” says Raphael Panjoyan, head of the Chemical Safety Department of the Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Protection Forces.
