The Number of Syrian Mercenaries Deployed to the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict Zone Reaches 2,580
In the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, more and more bodies of pro-Turkish Syrian mercenaries are being transported back to Syria. According to the latest data, their number has reached 250, reports syriahr.com.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented at least 10 mercenary fatalities in the recent hours. Of the total 250 killed, the bodies of 195 have been transported to Syria, while the remaining bodies are still in Azerbaijan.
The publication notes that the number of Syrian mercenaries deployed to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone has reached 2,580, with 342 of them having refused payment and returned home. It is worth mentioning that Turkey is facing significant challenges in recruiting new mercenaries and sending them to the conflict zone, as many fighters are refusing to fight for Azerbaijan due to 'religious' factors and heavy losses among mercenaries.
Some mercenaries are even unaware that Azerbaijani soldiers belong to the Shia Muslim community, and upon learning this, they return to Syria.
