Specialists from the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia have discovered food products intended for Azerbaijan during monitoring activities at food supply chain organizations in Yerevan's "Surmalu" wholesale market. This was reported by the SSS.

Specifically, a batch of 82.5% vegetable oil spread produced by the Russian company Tulchinka was meant for export to the neighboring country, as evidenced by the labeling on the manufacturer's sticker. Some of the spread discovered had no labeling in Armenian, while the Armenian labeling on others revealed that this batch was imported to Armenia by the company "ArtImport." The sale of the entire batch of discovered spread has been suspended.

We urge our citizens to be vigilant and, if they notice such products at any point of sale, to call the inspection body's hotline at 010 206040 or 0120906090.

The SSS inspectors will also conduct monitoring measures at "ArtImport" to clarify how food products intended for export to another country ended up in the Republic of Armenia. We will provide additional information regarding the results.
